AYRSHIRE DISTRICT LEAGUE CRAIGMARK 2  KELLO ROVERS 2  By Jim Campbell Kello, still without a home league game since the beginning of October, travelled to Dalmellington to take on Craigmark and it was Craigmark who opened the scoring in the 13th minute.  A long clearance out of defence caught the Kello defence flatfooted.  It was the pace of Tony Balfour that took him deep into the Kello half and, with Jim Grozier committing himself to coming out of his goals, this made it easy for Balfour to lift the ball over him and into the net; 1-0 Craigmark. ... Kello went in search of an equaliser, and it was David Jardine who came close when he tried to chip 'keeper, Jonathan Lopez but he was unlucky to watch his effort clip the crossbar with Lopez beaten.  Kello were creating plenty of chances but the ball seemed destined to stay out.  Steven Shankland had a header cleared off the line and, in the ensuing goal mouth scramble, Jardine's effort was tipped over the bar by Lopez. At the start of the second half Craigmark went straight up the park and, with a clear sight of goal, Balfour pulled his shot wide.  Kieron Pagan had to leave the field with an injury in the 50th minute with Russell Ferguson coming on.  Kello were then awarded a free kick on the edge of the 18 yard box when Scott Caldwell was brought down by Dominic Boyle; this was Boyle's third foul inside two minutes.  Jardine fired the ball into the six yard area for Shankland to head strongly past Lopez to level the scores in the 53rd minute.  Jamie Baird then came on to replace the injured Martin Shaw. The Kello defence was caught out when John Henderson had acres of room down the left and his cross into the penalty area found the head of Balfour who glided the ball past Grozier who could do nothing about it.  Kello drew level in the 73rd minute, when a shot from outside the penalty area from Marc McGinley took a deflection off a defender on its way into the net.  Shankland could have put Kello in front two minutes later when some good play by Caldwell gave him the opportunity in front of goal but he completely missed the ball and a good chance was lost. Both sides had chances to win the game but some of referee Napier's decisions led to frustration from players of both teams as he began to dish out yellow cards and, on leaving the field after the final whistle, Kello's Craig Muir was shown his second yellow card and therby a red.
